2010 went out with a whimper, weather-wise. The area I live in got about 3 inches of snow a little over a week ago, and ice pellets the next night. Once that was over
with, the skies cleared, the sun made a grand appearance, and the Puget Sound
in general began setting new cold temperature records. Most of the roads around me are clear, and the main roads, highways, etc are all bare and dry. The New Year dawned cold and sunny, beautiful but 28 degrees.
And I can’t get my scoot out of my driveway.

The good news is, the temperatures are warming (it’s a balmy
41 degrees out right now)…the bad news is, the rain is coming with it. The
weather gods say one more day of cold, then the temps warm up (highs in the
mid- to high 40s) as the clouds roll in. And around here, that means rain. At least it’ll melt the rest of the ice and wash away the de-icer that is all over the roads.
I’ve been off my scoot for 7 days. Time to get the raingear
out…
